Android 5.0 Lollipop and its influence on your Visiolink app

It is time to upgrade your app(s)

Android 5.0 Lollipop is now released and will gradually become available for end users over the next months. With this new release Google has introduced many new changes and improvements that we look forward to telling you more about in a later post. For now our number one priority is making your app compatible with the new OS, so end users will not be affected by compatibility issues. 

Our development team has worked with the beta version for months and tests have uncovered a compatibility issue that will need to be corrected for the app to function correctly. The issue prevents the screen that displays the users in-app purchase options to appear. This screen is normally displayed if the user taps on a publication without being logged in. Existing subscribers will probably not even notice a problem as they are already logged in, but new users will most likely trigger the crash immediately. 

We highly recommend that you book a resubmit of your app to fix this issue since it prevents users from buying single issues and subscriptions via the Google Play Store and gives new users a bad experience.
