How does Device Limit work

2016-11-23 09:28:07 UTC

You can set a limit of how many devices a set of user credentials should give access to. With a device limit of five, this means that a reader can download publications from up to five different devices across app platforms (iOS, Android, Windows and Windows Phone) at the time. If no publications have been downloaded for 48 hours on a device, it will open up for a new device to take its place within the five allowed devices. This is done so that the reader can switch devices, e.g. when buying a new tablet or phone.

If the device limit has been exceeded, the reader will get an error message.
