This guide will take you through the steps of how to use the Media Manager to add content to your publication

It is possible to make internal and external links, phone numbers and youtube videos in the web solution (Please note: only clickable ads are supported in apps)

Log in to your admin account on www.admin.e-pages.dk

If you don’t have your login info then it can be sent to you by contacting our Customer Care at support@visiolink.com

When you are logged in, you go to the tab Catalogue and choose the folder where the publication you want to edit is. Here you will see a list of the processed publications. If you click on the title of the publication or the icon with the pencil you will be able to edit the catalogue. The tab called Media Manager is a tool to make the publication interactive. Here you can make hyperlinks, add youtube videos and more.

Adding hyperlinks

When you have opened the Media Manager on the publication you want to edit you should pick the Hotspot Tool. The next step is to choose the tools form. If you pick the square form you can draw a square on the page where you would like to make a hyperlink. When the Hotspot square has been chosen, the frame called Properties will show on the right of the screen and here you will see a box called Tooltip. Here you can type in an explanatory text e.g. if you want to link to www.google.com the text could just be Google. This text will show up in the publication when browsing over the square (only in the E-pages viewer not in apps). You can also in the properties box choose the layout (size of the square and its position) and you can add different effects on how it should appear in the paper. The hyperlink that you would like to forward the reader to you insert in the box under the Event tab and by clicking the ’+’ sign and then you choose the type of call the link should be e.g. ”External link” and then you insert http://www.google.com. It is also possible to make internal links. Simply choose Internal links instead of external in the Type of call box. In that way you can link inside the publication to a specific page and you can also add zoom to this.

Then you're done and you just have to save your work before you close the Media Manager window, the edited paper page should now be shown when you open the paper in e-pages.

Adding phone numbers

It is also possible to add phone numbers by using the Media Manager. This I s made by choosing the Hotspot Tool. Mark the phone number on the PDF by drawing a square on the page around it. The Properties frame will appear on the right of the screen. Go to the box called Tooltip to write an explanatory text. In the Event box you click ‘+’ to add an event. In the “Type of call” box Choose “External link” and delete http:// - instead you insert tel:contrycode+phonenumber e.g. tel:+457023544. Remember to save the publication before closing the Media Manager.

Adding youtube videos and SWF

It is almost the same procedure if you would like to add/show a youtube video or SWF in the publication. You just pick the YouTube tool to begin with and you can insert the source for the file and import to the publication.

Adding an image and linking to a URL

When the Media Manager is opened choose the Image tool. Mark the page in the publication you wish to add the image and drag a square that fits the proportions. When the Hotspot square has been chosen, the frame called Properties will show on the right of the screen and here you will see a box called Events. Here you click on the ’+’ sign and a box opens up. In the ’Type of call’ drop down menu choose ’External link’. Type in a Tool tip, this can be an explanatory text e.g. if you want to link to www.google.com the text could just be Google. This text will show up in the paper when browsing over the image (only in the E-pages viewer – not in Apps). Next you insert the URL you wish to link to. To add the image you go to the bottom of the Properties tab. Browse to find the source and click import.

Please note: The URL must not contain special characters like # & æ ø å. URLs should be encoded or converted to shortened URLs by using free services like bitly.com

Remember always to save your changes before you close the Media Manager.
