Custom dimensions and metrics allow you to combine Analytics data with non-Analytics data. Visiolink has decided to implement six custom dimensions, which is sent with every hit in Google Analytics. The six custom dimensions are:
- Client (Platform)
- App Version
- Publication Title
- Customer Title
The custom dimensions can help you gain more information about your users. You can see from which platform the majority of your traffic is generated and which titles are most popular with the users. Furthermore, you will be able to see the popularity of the individual sections and the reader orientation.
The custom dimensions have to be created in Google Analytics. If you have not created them yet, follow this guide and you a find the data:
The Client Dimension describes the platform from which the events are sent.
