How does Device Limit work

2024-03-12 12:40:45 UTC

It is possible to set a limit of how many devices a set of user credentials should give access to. With a device limit of five, this means that a reader can download publications from up to five different devices across app platforms (iOS, Android) at the time. If no publications have been downloaded for 48 hours on a device, it will open up for a new device to take its place within the five allowed devices. This is done so that the reader can switch devices, e.g. when buying a new tablet or phone.

If the device limit has been exceeded, the reader will get an error message.

Device limit is disabled by default.
