2. Adding a GA4 property
Step 1
Navigate to the "Admin" page, then click "Create" and pick "Property".
Step 2
Give you property a name, pick your timezone, and pick your preferred currency. This can be changed later if necessary. Then click "Next".
Step 3
Pick your relevant industry category, this will most likely be "News", and pick the scale of you business. Then click "Next".
Step 4
Pick your "business objectives", this is used by google to auto generate some dashboards for you, it does not affect tracking. Then click "Create".
You now have a new GA4 Property.
Step 5
On the last page of the set-up it askes about data collection. Here you need to set up the "data stream" for Web. If your e-paper does not have a website you can just press "Skip for now".
Step 6
In the set up menu for web you need to add the URL from your website and add a Stream name. The stream name and stream URL are not dependent, therefore if you choose an overall name or the wrong URL and the web stream will still work. Once you have filed those out press "Create and continue".
After you create it a screen like the one below will pop up, you can just close it.
You have created a web data stream.
Now importantly Visiolink need the steams Measurement ID to finish setting up, it is found by clicking on the web stream.
Now you'll see the screen below, copy the Measurement ID and sent it to your Visiolink Project Manager.

3. Adding User and Event Parameters to your GA4 Property
To finish setting up your GA4 you will need to set up user and event Parameters to get the most out of your data.
As the parameters between Visiolink apps vary a bit depending on platform you need to follow the guide that matches your apps platform. If you are unsure what platfrom you have; ask your Visiolink project manager.
